Can dreams come Drew?

If you caught Dr. Drew’s HLN show last week Friday, and wondered if that caller from Hawaii was me – you were right.

It all happened so fast.

Last Friday, I received an email from a friend in Hollywood who was on the Dr. Drew set. She’s a make-up artist, and just happened to be there the day Dr. Drew’s show was all about strippers.

My friend asked if I’d be willing to phone in – and identify as a former stripper. After I picked my jaw off the floor, I agreed.

I was able to ask a question to one of the guests on the panel (female stripper), which was great – but more importantly, I managed to plug my website, poletosoul – which is huge!

After the show, my friend texted me that Dr. Drew said “that Hawaiian stripper was awesome – you can tell she has a lot of insight.”

Then there was conversation about me being a guest (my friend’s suggestion) and also interest in my web site. My friend also said Dr. Drew loves the name “poletosoul”, and that he remembered it by heart.

Who knows if I’ll ever have the opportunity to actually be a guest on this show – but just the fact I was able to be a small part of his production, is a dream come true.

I’ve been a fan of Dr. Drew for years, and hold a special place in my heart for him because of his work in addiction. If you’ve ever seen his Rehab show, you know he’s someone who knows his stuff.
